Proud of my hubby

As I posted earlier, Perry has been asked to lose 24 pounds. From the US perspective this seems crazy. But to the rest of the world where health care is hit or miss this weight loss means that he will live longer. Why am I proud of my hubby...many reasons but specifically he has lost almost 10 pounds and he is doing it the right way. He is faithfully exercising on the wii every night and is doing portion control. Not easy but he is doing great. Now if I could do half so well.

Spring Concert

At the little school that Andrew goes to they have a Christmas and an Easter program that is mostly music but also includes some short skits. At Christmas they only had the preschoolers and Kindergarten do 1 song. This time they did a bible verse John 3:16 and 3 songs. The music teacher had done a great job with them.Getting ready to begin singing. Andrew is in the back row. Mom had Andrew do 2 out of 3 songs at church and say John 3:16.

Well this proud momma is done bragging on her boy. One of the teacher told us Andrew doesn't do anything slow...run, read, count or play. That about sums up Andrew's year. He is soaking in the learning but he plays just as hard. Thanks to all the teacher here and around the world who help our children learn.

Gotcha Day

Aaron has been home three years today. I can not begin to imagine life without him. I am daily thankful for the gift his birthmother gave me and love given by his foster family aka Guatemalan Oma. Life is full of so many things. In honor of his Gotcha Day we had enchiladas. I was given a recipe for red enchilada sauce. It is sooo easy I am not going back to the can. My dad started the tradition of ice cream cake so of course we had to have one. Balloons rounded out this event. Needless to say we ate well.

So who is this boy that 3 years ago on April 2oth changed our lives. He is extremely mellow and goes with the flow. He will try anything brother does but watches to see how it works first. He loves to sing, be read books, his tricycle, animals and talks a blue streak. I think this is because he is trying to get a word in edge wise with his brother.

I don't know what God has planned for him but I know that God can use him. He wants to fix peoples and dogs ouchies. Maybe I have a doctor or vet on my hands I don't know and that is okay. I don't know where life will take us but that is okay.
