I like dirt...

Did I mention that Aaron is a boy. He loves dirt and rocks. We start in the grass and he goes strait for either the dirt or rocks.
But Aaron can also help me clean up.

Some thoughts

I went to hear a friend preach and it was very good. It was the encouragement and reminder that I needed. It also went along with the conference theme which was A Limitless God for A Hungry People. She was speaking on expectations and that expectations in themselves are not bad but who is controlling your expectations. Is it God, yourself or others? The thing that really struck me was when she addressed women in particular. The fact there is pressure to work, advance in your job, give service to church/people, and even pressure to stay home with your children. These are all pressures of the world. The only one that determines what you are to is God and he uses all us where we are. I think sometimes I place more value on one activity or another. How many times have we had people look at you and say you are JUST a housewife what do you do all day or the reverse I CAN'T believe you are working while your kids are little. We answer to God not our neighbor. She also pointed out that God can use us in unusual ways so this week look to be used in an unusual way by God. He is limitless.

Grandpop at his finest

It is so fun to see my Dad play with his grandsons. He is a man who comes over in his suit but does this stop him from getting on the floor and playing. This delights Aaron and Anthony both. It is a reminder whatever you are and whatever you hope to become never forget to take time to play. We tease dad that he will swipe any baby like my grandma used to do but it is a fine trait to have.

Well, Aaron has mastered stair climbing and thus mom has had to purchase a gate. He is making all kinds of sounds and it leaves you wondering did he really say what I think he did. It is daily adventure.

A Few Conference photos

This is Micah and Aaron at Cracker Barrel. Micah's Dad was a little chagrined by the badger sign but at least it is Red. Did I mention he is Nebraska fan. It was great to see everyone. As Dads Perry and Chris try to wrestle in the cafeteria. Aaron and Lily enjoy a cracker. And Lily tried to hold Aaron on her lap. There is a jelly belly warehouse near Kenosha. We got to have a free tour with Jelly Bellies at the end. They haven't quite reached Hershey level but it was quite nice.
After conference we had a very special brunch.

Well conference was more than just eating and visiting. There was worship time and preaching and bible study. I helped out in the nursery. Perry had to leave early. I discovered the adventure of traveling with a 14 month old. Considering the time in the car he did pretty well.

Lily and Aaron

THis is outside the chapel. Lily who is a walker decided to come down to Aaron's level and they had a great time playing.
