Vacation Bible School

This is the ending program for our bible school. The kids really enjoyed the Crocodile Dock material that focused on the Israelites leaving Egypt. We were given all the back drops and props so it was more souped than usual.

Ed Rosenberry played a character called Skeeter this week and did a great job. The kid were always wondering what he would do next. So we gave him a VBS Oscar.

He through confetti at me, juggled eggs, called birds and sprayed skunk spray and the kids thought it was great.

Perry and the Swing Set

We have been talking about getting a swing set. Well here is the result. They are enjoying the swings and the slide.

I must brag on my husband. He claims no skills in the mechanical department. But here is the proof that he can do it and do it well. I should be noted that I held things twice and that was it. I did not read the instructions or try to help. Didn't he do great.

Conference and the Quilt

Conference with two boys is an adventure but with the help of family and friends it is possible. Andrew had a great time in children's conference and both boys loved swimming everyday at the hotel that we stayed. Aaron struggled in the nursery so we didn't spend as much time as I had hoped there. There was good speaking and praying. My father used this picture in an add for the new bibs for the memorial board. Lancaster Bible College was a beautiful campus.Camp Joy lost a couple canoes last year. So I had decided that it might be cool to make a quilt out of old Camp T-shirts. Well these pictures are the result. I was quite happy with how the auction went.

The Nose

Both of my brothers at one point have stuffed rocks in orifices of the body. I believe both them put rocks in their nose but an ear could have been involved. Gabe claims to this day that David made him do but that is a debate for another day. I am now able to say that Andrew has joined the elite club with his uncles. The other night I was giving my boys their Luride much to their excitement. I had turned to get them their vitamin and Andrew says to me. Where is my Luride? To which I reply....I hope it is in your mouth that is where it belongs. Andrew shakes his head no and grins. I said then where. In Andrew ear he says and I say I hope not. He shakes head and grins. He the says in Andrew's nose. Now getting worried I say I hope not. He shakes head yes and grins. Mom says really I hope not. Mom looks in nose yes it is there. Now slightly panicked that we will be headed to the emergency room I tell my son to blow and it doesn't move and appears to be dissolving. So I send Perry upstairs for the tweezers and we proceed to extract the Luride. Now my son had purple snot from the purple Luride but was otherwise unharmed. This of course lead to a discussion of where Luride goes and doesn't go which was reinforced nightly for about a week. But it should be noted though now he is in the company of his uncles.
